I met Tami several years ago when I posted a question on a message board (way before "mybeachboard"). I worded it in a way that she would contact me. Ever since the first trip, I've not used anyone else for Caribbean/Mexico. I'm an easy client. I can usually do my trip in 25 words or less, but its more fun to "chat" with Tami. I remember one evening a year or so ago when American changed my flights/airfare without letting Tami know....we spent the better part of the evening "chatting" via email. We booked a family vacation to Grand Palladium White Sands in the Riviera Maya Mexico in April 2007 through Tami and received nothing but first class service. We also recently booked an adult only trip to Riviera Maya at the Excellence Riviera Cancun coming up in November 2008. She is one of the most patient, honest, responsive professionals I know. She will always answer every question, offer helpful advice, but I never feel like she's trying to steer me in a direction I don't want. I have worked with other agents in the past who seem to want you to book at a specific destination whether it meets your needs or not because it may benefit them. Definitely not the case with Tami. There are never any t's left uncrossed or i's left undotted. Booking online myself may be convenient, but I don't get that piece of mind knowing Tami knows all the details, and we won't get hit with any last minute surprises. I'm working with her right now to plan our next family trip!

Tami at Spirit of the West Travel is wonderful! We have booked our family vacation with her 2 years in a row first at the Barcelo Tropical then the Barcelo Palace in the Riviera Maya. My wife and I have been using Tami and her company since 2003. We have booked 1 to 3 trips per year to Mexico each year since then. Some have been just for the 2 of us, some for more. Grand Palladium Mexico -- We love this resort! Just returned from our third visit in three years. Large, beautiful stretch of beach which varies from scenic and rocky at the Riveria end to peaceful and calm at the Kantenah end. This resort has so much to offer, along with a great staff and many bars and restaurants (with a new, no-reservation policy). Two huge pools with swim up bars and jacuzzis as well as several smaller adults-only pools and a freshwater pool with breathtaking views. Lots of variety in evening entertainment also. Live bands by the pools at night, shows in the theaters as well as jazz in the lobbies. Already planning our next trip there thru TripSurfer!

Let's see the last resort we went to was the Grand Palladium in Punta Cana. You cannot go wrong with an all inclusive vacation. No Bar bill, food bill or hotel bill, and some one picks you up at the airport and takes you back. Booking with Tami, the fastest e-mail replier in the West, She always beats the best price I can get anywhere else. We also went to the Grand Palladium in Mexico, and next year its Jamaica. Our family thinks Tami is an AWESOME Travel Agent!! We've been lucky enough to have used her services since 2004 when 4 couples traveled to Riu Palace Mexico. Tami also booked our Dominican Republic trip to the Majestic.....we had the BEST rooms at the resort. Our latest trip booked through Tami was our daughter's wedding at the Barcelo Maya Palace in June....WOW!!!! We again had what we consider to be the BEST Corner Suite in the resort and our experience was one we'll never forget. Tami goes above and beyond, in our opinion!! On one of our trips, our flight time was changed from 6AM to 9AM on a charter.....Tami called us the night before to inform us. First off let me say we have been using Tami and Tripsurfer for 6 years now and have been very happy with the knowledge Tami has of the Cancun and Mexican Riviera area. We try to stay at a different place to try and compare different places. We have returned to a couple places that we have really enjoyed. Highest recommendations go to the RIU Palace in Play Del Carmen and to the Barcelo resorts south of Cancun. The RIU had some of the best service we have experienced and the Barcelo had one of the best beaches (and good service). We did make a trip to the RIU Palace Cabo San Lucas. This was a very nice resort with very good service but you could not swim in the ocean and the pool water was a little cold even in June. The mountain and desert landscape was a nice change from the jungle of the Mexican Riviera. This is a recommendation if you want a change and to see something different. I want to keep this short so my best recommendation is to check out the resorts through either Funjet or Apple and when you find a place that looks like you may want to go to ask Tami and she will give you some good advice about the place.

Tami and TripSurfer were highly recommended to me by a co-worker and I was very impressed. I truly enjoyed working with Tami to book not one, but two trips to the Iberostar Paraiso Maya 2 years in a row. The convenience of working out details via e-mail and finalizing plans over the phone with that true Texas accent of Tami's reassured me this was going to be an amazing trip. And to really put things to the test, our first trip was scheduled the week in July the hurricane hit the coast of Riviera Maya. Many e-mails and phone calls later, we needed to reschedule our trip for 5 weeks later in August due to damage and repair to the area, but Tami had everything under control. Reading the trip reports on the website's Bulletin Board for this resort were very helpful!! AND Tami's prices ALWAYS beat out the competitor's, plus the added bonus of a personal touch and answering my many questions. Tami's the best!!!
